Optimizing WebSockets for 10,000+ Concurrent Vehicle Pings

Ingesting real-time coordinates from thousands of vehicles every 5 seconds requires careful connection management. Traditional HTTP polling creates unnecessary server memory overhead.
STOMP utilizes WebSocket clusters behind Cloudflare proxies. Our Node backend uses Redis Pub/Sub channels to distribute events across ingestion nodes. If an ingestion node fails, the OBD client reconnects to an adjacent node in less than 50ms, ensuring uninterrupted packet storage.
